Job Brief
- We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized Marine Operations Officer to join our team.
- The Marine Operations Officer will be responsible for coordinating the marine transportation, storage of marine equipment, and distribution of goods.
- This role requires strong logistical planning skills, the ability to multitask, and a focus on efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the day to day operations, preparation, administration, scheduling and logistical support for offshore operations.
- Perform any necessary maintenance and repairs or arrange where required.
- Liaise with other departments and the crew management on day to day requirements from the marine sector.
- Participate in fuel management as it relates to marine operations.
- Maintain a safe work environment and be prepared to take action to ensure safety of crew and passengers
- Prepare shipping documentation and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Movements & logistics involving marine vessels and associated activities.
- You negotiate with suppliers the best conditions to adopt
- You monitor the progress of the shipment until final destination.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- 2+ years of experience in logistics or supply chain roles.
- Knowledge of Maritime laws and its governing bodies.
- Knowledge of marine transportation regulations and international trade practices.
