The much-anticipated Pitapwa Football Cup kicked off on February 4, 2023, at the Jimeta Stadium, with an exciting opening match between Madagali FC and Song United. Madagali FC dominated the encounter, securing a convincing 3–0 victory over Song United.
The referee and players took to the field promptly, and the match kicked off at exactly 4:21 p.m. Spectators filled all sides of the stadium, cheering enthusiastically as the game got underway.
