Pitapwa, a native of Adamawa State, is driven by a strong desire to reduce electoral tension among youths and promote peace across the state. In pursuit of this goal, he initiated the first edition of the Pitapwa Unity Football Cup, scheduled to take place from 4th to 9th February 2023.
The successful planning and organization of the tournament is being overseen by the Organising Committee Chairman, Comrade Jonah Danladi, alongside other key stakeholders, who have worked tirelessly to ensure a smooth and successful event.
The Pitapwa Unity Football Cup is non-political, non-ethnic, and non-religious, as it is strictly aimed at fostering unity and peaceful coexistence.
Objectives of the Competition
The competition is designed to:

The tournament is a six-day event scheduled to take place at the Jimeta Stadium. Activities will begin with one session on the 4th of February at 3:00 pm, and one session on the 5th of February at 3:30 pm. From subsequent days, matches will be played in two daily sessions: 8:00 am and 3:30 pm.
The competition is an inter-local government tournament featuring teams from all 21 local government areas of Adamawa State.
At the end of the tournament, it is expected that:

The winner will receive ₦1,000,000

The first runner-up will receive ₦500,000

The second runner-up will receive ₦250,000
The Pitapwa Unity Football Cup provides a platform for reflection, collaboration, and renewed commitment to unity among youths, using sports as a tool to foster peaceful political engagement across the state.
